The Hook: Use this workflow to hide irrelevant case types from your property view or configure specific IVR (Interactive Voice Response) cases to immediately generate Work Orders instead of generic cases.
Prerequisites:
• GXP Property Admin permissions required.
• These functions work best on the GXP Desktop version, not mobile.
The Steps:
1. Navigate to your property’s Accounts page in GXP and scroll to Case Subtype Customization.
2. Click New to create a customization.
3. Use the magnifying glass to select the Case Subtype Code (e.g., "Valet" or "Housekeeping Request").
4. To Hide a Subtype:
◦ Check the Hide checkbox.
◦ Click Save. Existing cases are not affected.
5. To Auto-Create Work Orders from IVR:
◦ Check the IVR Work Order box.
◦ Click Save.
◦ Benefit: When a room attendant creates a case of this subtype via IVR, it skips the "Associate Case" step and creates a Work Order immediately.
The Result: Your GXP interface is tailored to your specific operations, reducing clutter and automating Engineering dispatch for IVR requests.
