Overview
The Work Dispatch mobile feature provides engineering teams with instant access to critical, dispatch-tagged tasks. This allows responders to view, accept, and address urgent issues in real-time, improving response times and guest satisfaction.
Navigation & Interface
To access dispatch tasks, tap Work in the bottom navigation menu.
Work Tabs: Toggle between My Work (assigned to you) and Unassigned tasks.
Work Dispatch Section: Located at the top of the list, this section displays critical tasks with color-coded priority levels and a live ticking timer showing how long the task has been open.
Managing Availability
Responders must be marked as "Available" to receive automatic dispatches.
Status Toggle: Use the toggle on the Work page to switch between Available and Unavailable.
Automatic Reassignment: If you switch to Unavailable (e.g., for a break or end of shift), the system will automatically reassign your active dispatch items to another available responder.
Web Sync: If an admin updates your status via the web application, you will receive a "Go Available?" or "Go Unavailable?" pop-up message on your mobile device to confirm the change.
Handling Dispatch Items
Accepting & Declining
When a task is assigned to you, a pop-up will appear immediately upon opening the app.
Accept: Tapping Accept adds the item to your work list and signals you have begun the task.
Decline: Tapping Decline routes the task to the next person in the responder queue.
Note: If you are the only responder in the queue, the Decline option will be hidden.
Completing Tasks
Work Notes: Tap into the task to add any necessary notes regarding the repair or resolution.
Status Update: * Select Completed to close the work order.
Select Unable to Complete if you cannot finish the task. You must provide a reason; the system will then unassign you so the task can be rerouted.
